Job Description

The critical care staff physician will coordinate the use of diagnostic and treatment modalities to provide high quality and efficient medical management for inpatients assigned to their service. The physician will ensure that the patient, family, primary physician and related hospital and community services are well informed of the plan of care. In addition, and upon request, the physician may perform consultative service to patients other admitted patients on request. The physician may also perform ancillary services as required by the hospital, within their expertise. Clinicians are required to have graduated from an accredited school of medicine with a current or pending license to practice medicine in the state of Florida, be board certified or eligible in internal medicine or family medicine with either fellowship training in critical care medicine or demonstrated expertise in the care of ICU patients, including a combination of experience, and certification in advanced training (such as FCCS), and you must have excellent communication skills, strong clinical skills, and current or eligible member in good standing of the active medical staff of the client hospital. ACLS certification is required.
