Greenville, Ohio, is located along the Indiana border in Darke County in west-central Ohio and is only a short drive away from Dayton, Ohio. The city is near I-75 and I-70 making it within 1 hour of Indianapolis, Toledo, Cincinnati, and Columbus. Rich in history, Greenville is well known for being the home of the "Treaty of Greenville," signed in 1795, bringing peace with the Native American tribes and opening up the Northwest Territory for expansion. The Garst Museum contains priceless historical artifacts. St. Clair Memorial Hall serves as the center for the arts in Darke County. This charming small-town has restaurants, retail shops, historical museums and buildings, as well as small businesses, large corporations and fortune 500 companies. Companies such as KitchenAid and BASF (North America) are headquartered in Greenville. The town hosts the annual Great Darke County Fair that runs for nine days in August. Greenville is also home to the Eldora Speedway owned by NASCAR's Tony Stewart. Greenville has a broad spectrum of history, heritage, parks, recreation, entertainment, and all of the necessities for a beautiful life. It is also the #1 agricultural county in the state in corn and soybean production and leads the nation in egg production.
