In Fall 2023 our 2 emergency departments will combine and move into a brand new facility, Wynn Hospital Emergency Department (ED), located in the heart of downtown Utica, New York. Wynn Hospital Emergency Department is designed with 47 ED treatment spaces (ED exam, quick turn, trauma), 6 behavioral health ED treatment rooms, and 10 observation beds. The modular organization allows efficient flexing to respond to changing volume needs over a typical day. Dedicated access to the medical imaging room and CAT scan with direct and easy access to other imaging modalities, and supports the care of 90,000 visits annually. Our Facility is a Level III Trauma Center, cardiac center, and Primary Stroke Center, with specialty backup support. Our emergency medicine (EM/FM/IM) physicians receive excellent compensation with additional bonus incentives, professional liability insurance with tail coverage, enjoy an excellent work/life balance, and with a commitment to full-time working 1560 hours/year receive a sign-on bonus, and working 1800 hours/year receive an enhanced sign-on bonus. Emergency medicine medical staff credentialing requirements include board certification ABMS/AOBMS or board eligible within 5 years of residency in EM or ABMS/AOBMS board certified in family medicine (FM) and internal medicine (IM) with current EM experience or an additional 1 year EM fellowship training. Active/pending New York license, CRS, DEA, ATLS, ACLS, and PALS, infection control certificate, health screening, and immunization/vaccination records. Stroke certification, New York state-required CMEs, and ACEP/ACFM/ACIM emergency medicine CME are available, at no cost to our physicians through TeamHealth Learning Institute. Come join us!

Mohawk Valley Health System Faxton St. Luke's Healthcare is a 379-bed hospital with a 29-bed ED. This facility has an annual volume of 41,300 and a designated Stroke Center with CT scanner. We have a dedicated staff of emergency medicine physicians, nurses, excellent EMS, lab technicians and EKG technicians. The ED provides 36 hours of physician coverage and 36 hours of advanced practice clinician coverage daily.
