TeamHealth-Griffin Hospital ED has a full-time opportunity for an emergency medicine physician with an interest in flexible scheduling, full benefits, 401K, and retirement plan to join our Emergency Department in Derby, Connecticut. Griffin Hospital is a 160-bed community hospital and Level III trauma center with an annual emergency department volume of 34,803. The emergency department has 23 private beds, a fast track, three behavioral health crisis intervention rooms, private triage rooms, bedside registration, and a dedicated ultrasound unit. This newly expanded department has been redesigned for optimal efficiency and patient comfort, utilizing Griffin's patient-centered, Planetree model of care. Griffin Hospital emergency department is staffed with 33-hours of physician coverage and 24-hours of advanced practice clinician coverage each day. This facility features an excellent opportunity to work within an academic setting. Eligible candidates will have a minimum of one to two years of post-emergency medicine residency experience and be ABEM or AOBEM board certified or board eligible within five years of residency. Prior to the Griffin Hospital Medical Staff application being submitted, candidates must have an active Connecticut medical license, CT Controlled Substance, DEA, ACLS, PALS, and BLS are also required.
