TeamHealth has an excellent opportunity for a full-time Physician to join our Hospitalist team at Scott Memorial Hospital in Scottsburg, Indiana. Scott Memorial Hospital is a 25-bed critical access hospital that has served as a beacon of good health for more than 50 years. We ask that you be board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine with Hospital Medicine experience.

Compassionate care, close to homeScott Memorial Hospital provides Scott County and the surrounding area with a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services at its 25-bed acute care facility, fully accredited by the Joint Commission and the College of American Pathologists, and at its physician practices, including the Scott Memorial Hospital Medical Specialty clinic. The Frazier Rehab Institute, located on the hospital's campus, provides a full range of rehabilitation, physical and speech therapy and pain management services. Scott Memorial Health is part of the regional Health Network of Kentucky and Southern Indiana, a joint venture between Norton Healthcare and LifePoint Health.


Scenic, family-oriented communityConveniently located between three metropolitan cities - Louisville, Indianapolis and Cincinnati - Scottsburg is the seat of Scott County and was established in 1871, following the building of the Jeffersonville, Madison and Indianapolis Railroad. The town was named in honor of the president of the railroad, Horace Scott, while the county was named after General Charles Scott, who fought in the Revolutionary War and later became governor of Kentucky. Numerous parks and wildlife sanctuaries are nearby, including Clifty Falls State Park, Crosley State Fish and Wildlife Area, Deam Lake State Recreation Area and Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge. Popular historical sites include the Corydon Capital Historic Site, Culbertson Mansion State Historic Site and the Governor's Mansion. Forest Discovery Center and Stevens Museum are also close at hand. Hardy Lake State Reservoir boasts more than 2,178 acres of land and a 741-acre lake, complete with campgrounds, a beach, playgrounds, basketball and volleyball courts, an archery range, hiking trails, fishing piers and open play-fields. Residents also enjoy convenient access to renowned attractions like the Indianapolis Motor Speedway's premier world racing event, the Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs in Louisville and home games for the MLB's Cincinnati Reds.
