TeamHealth has a pediatric emergency medicine (PEM) assistant facility medical director position available at St. David's Children's Hospital in Austin, Texas! About the Role

• Dedicated and separate emergency care in a 10-bed, pediatric-only ED
• Average daily census: low 50s
• 24 hours of physician coverage daily; 2-12 hour shifts 
• 12 hours of APC coverage daily
• Dedicated operating room exclusively for pediatric patients
• Part of the St. David's Healthcare system 
• Inpatient care in an eight-bed medical surgical unit with 24/7 pediatric hospitalist coverage
• Intensive care in a six-bed pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) with 24/7 pediatric intensivist coverage
• Site is 15 minutes north of Downtown Austin in an area of the Domain; the Domain captures the charm of Austin while offering the appeal of modern living, with new developments, upscale shopping centers, diverse restaurants, and beautiful homes.
• Clinical pay: flat hourly rate plus year-end incentive
• Night differential: enhance your earnings for working evening and overnight shifts

St. David's Children's Hospital

St. David's Children's Hospital is a dedicated pediatric care facility that includes a 10-bed emergency department, 8-bed medical surgical inpatient unit and 6-bed pediatric intensive care unit (PICU).
