We are seeking a part time (2-3 days/week) physician to work in a skilled nursing facility. Candidates must have experience working with a SUD (substance use disorder) program. The clinician in this position will lead the SUD program in the facility and work directly with the SUD program director. This is primary care in a skilled nursing facility but specifically with SUD patients that have been admitted. This will include admissions history and physicals as well as following the patients during the admissions with a holistic approach to SUD. The medical director will be working closely with the SUD program director as well as the rest of the team. TeamHealth will help you develop a collaborative team approach between the facilities clinical team, supervising physician in the market, and additional service providers in wound care, behavioral health, or infectious disease specialist both locally and nationally. The typical schedule is Monday-Friday with flexible daily hours. We have an overnight call service provided 7pm to 7am by our nurse practitioner and physician assistant call team. Clinicians rotate backup call to the call team for occasional escalation needs in the local market and weekend day call.
