Sutter Solano Medical Center has been serving the residents of Solano Country for more than 100 years. The hospital has 102 licensed beds and is fully accredited by the Joint Commission. This facility has been recognized by Truven Health Analytics as part of one of the nation's top 15 Health Systems. It also received straight A's from The Leapfrog Group pertaining to its safety scores. Sutter Solano Cancer Center, part of Sutter Solano Medical Center, was granted a full accreditation designation by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC).

Vallejo is just about an hour northeast of San Francisco and only a half hour from the Napa Valley wine country. A strong economy and affordable housing (whether it's Victorian homes or newer homes in prestigious developments) has meant new prosperity for Vallejo. The city has its own ferry terminal, which has helped make Vallejo a transportation and commuter hub for the North Bay.
