TeamHealth is seeking an Emergency Medicine experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with leadership experience to join our ED team at Winter Haven Hospital in Winter Haven, Florida. The Lead Advanced Practice Clinician will the assist Facility Medical Director with a variety of administrative responsibilities. This role requires a minimum of 140 hours of clinical time per month plus additional administration responsibilities.

Responsibilities of the Lead Advanced Practice Clinician include: maintenance of collaborative agreements and protocols for Nurse Practitioners and protocols/job descriptions for Physician Assistants; scheduling the shifts for all advanced practice clinicians (APCs) to ensure proper paid time off utilization when applicable; maintaining CME requirements as determined by the state licensing board; disseminating TeamHealth information obtained from Director of APCs, Division President, Facility Medical Director, Regional Medical Director, Vice President of Operations or hospital administration to all APCs; orienting new APCs to the ED and hospital and assist the FMD in recruiting and interviewing APCs; completing annual evaluations with FMD; attending department meetings and others as assigned by FMD; completion of special projects for TeamHealth; precepting students if hospital policy and FMD approves. These tasks require that the Lead APC know TeamHealth policies and hospital policies, work with clinical program to meet these guidelines.
