Job Description

TeamHealth is excited to invite an exceptional physician leader to join our team at Piedmont Eastside Medical Center in Snellville, Georgia, close to Atlanta. If you have a proven track record in hospital medicine management, innovative thinking and a passion for improving patient care, we want to hear from you. This leader will report directly to the regional medical director and vice president of operations and will be responsible for the oversight of a growing team of clinicians and advanced practice clinicians. In this role your responsibilities will be:
  • Developing and sustaining relationships
  • Impacting clinical strategies and workflows that promote practice
  • Patient satisfaction and improve value-based healthcare delivery
  • Managing the clinical, financial, human and capital resources of the facility
  • Work 75% administratively and 25% clinically
  • Lead a team of 18 hospital medicine (HM) physicians and 6 advanced practice clinicians
Job Qualifications and Skills: 
  • 3 to 5 years of demonstrated hospital medicine leadership experience
  • Medical Degree (MD or DO)
  • Board certification in internal medicine (IM)
  • Strong clinical skills and a thorough understanding of hospital medicine
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of healthcare professions
  • Strong commitment to quality improvement and patient safety
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with medical staff, administration and patients
  • Ability to encourage team members to achieve their best and fostering a positive work environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and utilize clinical and financial data
  • Active Georgia medical license and DEA preferred
